I woke up this morning, as tho it was my birthday i jumped out of bed thinking of my marriage when i was older, thinking, will have a husband bold and tho kind, or horrible and cruel for my hole life, but tho as i hope for kindness my mother was calling ”your foods on the table” as a ran down stairs, i tripped with my neck touching the wooden block of stairs.I got back up and my mum was holding one of my french dresses, she said,”you can wear this today’” as I put it on I shot outside to see ,it was raining I ran back in soaking wet, “oh one minute outside and ur like this, ill put it on the rail next to the fire,” it was not the best day for a birthday.(25 years later) 1533 AD January the 25th my marriage day hoping it was going to al happy and lovely, it was a secret one, very strange, it was a happy three years with henry until i heard i was getting the chop, before i died i had my last speech,Good Christian people, I am come hither to die, for according to the law, and by the law I am judged to die, and therefore I will speak nothing against it. I am come hither to accuse no man, nor to speak anything of that, where of I am accused and condemned to die, but I pray God save the king and send him long to reign over you, for a gentler nor a more merciful prince was there never: and to me he was ever a good, a gentle and sovereign lord. And if any person will meddle of my cause, I require them to judge the best. And thus I take my leave of the world and of you all, and I heartily desire you all to pray for me. O Lord have mercy on me, to God I commend my soul. As i was kneeled down with my neck on the block i remembered as a kid tripping on the stairs, as saying seven times, To Jesus Christ I commend my soul; Lord Jesus receive my soul.

In literacy we have been looking at persuasive writing.
Can you think of some persuasive statements that will persuade Mr Devine into bringing his Nintendo wii into school for all of year 4 to play on.
Have a go, you never know Mr Devine might just bring it in.

This week in year 4 we have been looking at the artist Hans Holbein.
Hans Holbein was born in Germany in 1947.
He was best known for his pictures of Henry viii, Sir Thomas Cromwell and Anne of Cleves.
Hans Holbein was asked by Sir Thomas Cromwell to paint a portrait of the future queen of England Anne of Cleves . Anne was German and Henry did not want to travel. This picture would introduce Henry viii to his wife to be. Anne was not a pretty lady, so Thomas Cromwell asked Holbein to paint a picture that would impress Henry. When Henry saw the picture he fell in love with her straight away.
When Henry met Anne he was not pleased, the woman he met was not the woman he had fallen in love with, but he did not want to offend Germany. He Married Anne but not long after they were divorced.
Here is a picture in the style of Hans Holbein by Anna
