This half term Year 4 have been looking at the Tudors. Our big question is “Would you
have preferred to live in the Tudor times rather than today?” I would like to live nowadays because now we have electricity and in Tudor times if you went down a street you might stand in something unexpecting!!!What do you think?

This half tearm we have been reseaching on the Tudors. Our question this half tearm was,
Would you have preferred to live in the Tudor times rather than today? This week we have been making books with moving parts. In the books we made slides and flaps
But would you have wanted to live in Tudor times or today? I am glad to live today because in the Tudor times they had disgraceful diseases plus doctors didn’t make you well they would kill you. Plus I would have had a horrible King Henry VIII. I would have got whipped even if I was a girl! But would have you wanted to live in the Tudor times or not?

This half-term we have been looking at the Tudors. Our big question was would you have preferred to live in the the Tudor times rather than today? This is my answer. I think that I would live in now rather than the Tudor times because I wouldn’t have a horrible Tudor king or queen like Henry VII, Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I or Elizibeth I and I wouldn’t have to have disgusting medicines like frog or a spider plus I wouldn’t have to do all those chores on a farm.

On Monday the 1st of February we took a trip to the 21cc, to create an animation which compared the Tudor times and mondern times. We did 1 about Tudor and modern medicine, Tudor homes and modern homes and Tudor schools and modern schools. First we cut out paper charaters and backgrouds then we had to slowly move them and take pictures. We had a great time!

On Monday 1st of February 4SH took a visit to the BBC 21cc. First we made a story board plan, then we made little charater’s to put in our animations comparing Tudor times and today. After that we cut the characters out. Last we did an animation, comparing Tudor medicines, schools and homes with today. It was really good and we had lots of fun!

Dear the whole school,

On the 4th of February 4BH went to BBC 21cc to do an animation. We made little figures as well as backgrounds. We created scripts too and got to go into a really cool recording studio. After a while we all had some fruit and juice then we went back we finshed some off our backgrounds and figures. After all of us had our lunch soon after we went into the other room and made our animation. You had to move the bit of the picture you wated moving slowly and then press 2 on the keyboard. At the end we all watched each others and got a lanyard with different colours also with BBC 21cc and we all enjoyed ourselves!

On Tuesday 4DM went to 21cc and
we worked with some people dan and mark we had a great
time. We made animations and we compared Tudor
schools, houses, medicines with today.
We worked on the apple Mac’s then made
an animation we were all in
groups and I was in the tudor school
with my group. And all of us enjoyed it
and grown ups were great too!!!!!!!

On Tuesday 4DM went to 21CC to do some animation with Dan + Mark who just happened to be animation professionals. We went on the apple Mac’s which was alot of fun. We compared Tudor homes, schools and medicine with modern homes, schools and medicine. We then were split into groups and we were given a subject. We went on www.animationpro.com for the software. My favourite part was when we went into the recording studio and recorded the voices to go over the animation. It was like a proper radio station. We had a great day. A big thanks to all the parents who came in to help and the teachers who arranged this special day.
